Who are we?

Everything started way back in 1999

The end of the 1990s marked a period referred to as the “technological bubble” both throughout the world and in Quebec. Éric Boutié, an entrepreneur at heart, comes to the conclusion that a specialized job fair in the IT industry might be a solution to help employers and candidates get together. The rest is history: it marked the birth of the National Career Event (in 1999) with its attendant IT Careers Fair.

Specialized fairs: the know-how of National Career Event
In time, other fairs were created, all with one thing in common: they are all specialized fairs, each with their own dedicated area of activity:

• Health and Social services
• Aerospace
• Technology
• Engineering
• Career and professional development

We went from 100 exhibitors per year to 360 in 14 years, and we tripled our attendance!

Today, National Career Event is a leader in the organization of job fairs in Quebec.
