Word from the CEO of the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers
As the voice of engineers in Ontario, the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE) is pleased be a part of the National Career Fair this Spring in Toronto. The fall event provided a high calibre of companies and I’m sure the March 27th, 2009 will attract the same. With these employers, along with the exceptionally qualified attendees looking to enhance their engineering careers, I believe this event will greatly benefit the engineering community in Ontario. In addition to its advocacy role, OSPE is a leader in providing career services and professional development to Ontario’s engineers. I encourage all employers to attend the National Career Fair and personally speak with engineering professionals. With succession planning front and centre in many organizations’ Human Resources planning, the fair provides a wonderful opportunity to re-vitalize your engineering staff and bring in new ideas. There are increasingly more avenues for career building and personal development throughout the industry and you as an employer can leverage the exposure of the fairs to ensure recruitment of the ‘best and the brightest’.
On behalf of OSPE and its members, I welcome you to attend the National Career Fair in Toronto on March 27, 2009. Angela Shama, P.Eng. Chief Executive Officer Ontario Society of Professional Engineers
